Emilie Berger

EMILIE BERGER earned her M.A. from Université de Lorraine in France and the University of Wolverhampton in the UK. She has taught English and French as a second language for over a decade at the elementary and high school levels, both in France and the US. Emilie worked at bilingual and international schools in New York City for the past 8 years and is now thrilled to call Portland home. In the classroom, she strives to create an academically rigorous, yet nurturing environment where students' personalities can shine and where their language skills can grow. Emilie is also trained in yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda, which allows her to support her students to be their full beautiful selves at school and beyond. When not in the classroom, Emilie can be found knitting or weaving, taking care of her jungle of plants, or bird watching with her husband (mostly an excuse to stop and visit coffee shops around the country.)
