Annual giving provides the funding
needed to close the budget gap
between tuition and the actual
cost of education. This difference
amounts to more than $1,500 per
student a year. Every school
year starts knowing that each
student receives a "hidden
scholarship" that is funded
by your contributions to the
Annual Fund 15% of the annual
operating budget is earmarked
for need-based student scholarships
and those funds are generated
by gifts to the Annual Fund.
Raising scholarship dollars is
critical at NWA because one in
five students at NWA receives
need-based support averaging
$7,500 a year. Opportunities
to give are made through direct
mail appeals, the annual Parent's
Fund Phonathon, as well as online
giving.
The historical backbone of The NWA development program is Club Cabaret, the most unique fund raising event in the area. This dinner show and auction generates more than $150,000 a year in support of scholarships. Support is provided through event sponsorships, table sponsorships, individual ticket sales, auction purchases, donation of auction items, and participation in the Scholarship paddle raise.
